Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER CHRISTOPHER GARRY April 9, 1924 - December 29, 2010 Chris was born April 9, 1924 in Winnipeg. He will be sorely missed by his wife Betty, daughter Sharon (Wayne), sons Andy (Carol) and Lawrence (Pat), and grandchildren Chris (Lisa), Laura, Jonathan, Alex, Sean, Jessica and Amber. Chris was predeceased by his father Alexander and mother Minie. Dad met the love of his life in 1945. They married in July of 1946. Mom and Dad spent 64 happy years together travelling the world, cruising and camping. Dad will be missed for his great sense of humour and love of life. Chris worked for the Canadian National Railway for 43 years, retiring as a foreman in 1984. He volunteered for the Prairie Dog Central for 24 years and received recognition as a Lifetime member. He was a long time member in St. Albans Anglican Church. Chris loved to curl and was a long time member of the Fort Rouge and Fort Garry Nitehawks curling clubs. He spent the last four months of his life at the Victoria General Hospital. We wish special thanks to the staff of 4-North for their caring support and compassion. A celebration of Chris' life will be held on Tuesday, January 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the RiverBend Plaza, 400 Osborne Street on the main floor.
